This 15° century Villa has recently been refurnished and can host up to 14 guests (12+2 in sofa bed).
The 6 rooms and the suite – all equipped with A/C, telephone and Wi-Fi – are finely furnished in accordance with Tuscan tradition paying attention to capacity.
Guests can appreciate how art and design can coexist compatibly inside common spaces and rooms in a seamless interaction that is a modern and inspiring approach. The furniture was designed and crafted by Poltronova in the 70’s. The gardens reflect the project designed by Porcinai (considered as one of the most prominent XXth Century landscape architects), while the exteriors bear the hallmark of Guido Morozzi, who headed the special Agency for the conservation of historic buildings within the Superintendence of Florence.
Pictoresque twists and style contamination are also perceivable within relax areas that are available to guests looking for a place to unwind. Modernity is combined perfectly with the historicity of the complex, which for centuries was able to conceal the secrets belonging to the era of the Medici.
A large Tuscan-style kitchen with fireplace, communal dining rooms and a superb newly renovated swimming –pool are available to guests. Additional equipment and accomodation for babies and children is available upon request.

Florence – Tuscany”
We stayed at Villa Medici for one week in June for my husbands 40th birthday. There were 10 of us in total. The property is INCREDIBLE. The rooms are all very large with their own bathroom, air conditioning in each room. The living areas are HUGE. The kitchen is well equipped and the outdoor dining areas are great. The pool is amazing and has everything you would ever need.
Above all though, the service provided by Benedetta and her team was beyond excellent. She arranged dinners, wine tastings, transportation, and a cooking class. Everything was perfect! The house was cleaned everyday and the property is so well taken care of.
I was beyond impressed with the Villa and will absolutely come back again.
We stayed at Villa Medici early October for a short break. The location is perfect, in the quiet hills, 20 minutes outside of Florence. The Villa is very spacious. There were only two of us but it can comfortably host a large family or group of friends. The place has so much character! The villa Manager was very kind and helpful form the very first contact. Although it was October we were stil able to use the lovely pool. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone searching for a relaxing, quiet place to stay, close to Florence!
The property is huge and accommodates guests wonderfully. The pool area is truly fabulous with a great view and almost worth choosing the house for alone.
Prato is a slightly odd location in that it doesn’t have a feel of charm or interest but it is close enough to Florence not to matter too much and the house is very private and a world apart.
Benedetta is absolutely faultless and a delight to deal with… there was nothing she couldn’t help with.
The bathrooms are dated but spacious and efficient, the beds and bedding are very comfortable. The kitchen is dated but well equipped.
We had a chef come in every night which worked very well. A good recommendation in itself for the house as none of us wanted to leave to eat out!
